Company Launched March 11th 2010

Finally did it, I created my business! Been busy 24/7 coding/building/creating for the past 5 months and the stores go live in less than 2 days. (Blog will get more attention soon as the dust settles from my empire breaking out.)

So much left to do but at least I can rest for a while on sunday. Mini-goal, try and break $1,000 in sales from saturday to monday. Will be interesting if the goal set for the end of this year will be met. Actually looking possible.

Please become a Fan and help spread the message to the creative community!

March is going to be Insane.

Hope your all doing great!

I wanted to get into the habit of adding more to my blog, at the beginning of each month I will be presenting my goals and ideas for the month. The purpose of my blog is to share the experience and knowledge I have gathered thus far over 28 years of life. I always excelled at english throughout my studies here in the states but for reports/data/projects, never really on such a public or personal level as the blogosphere. I hope you will follow this blog in your igoogle blog reader (organizes all the blogs you follow on 1 convenient page). It what I use to keep up with the blogs I follow.

So back to the March Madness and no, not the NCAA Tournament. The main reason behind it is last fall I applied to North Carolina State's College of Design and the admission letters go out on March 15th. Been biting my nails for almost 4 months but we're down to the wire now. When the letter to come but I am unsure of what to expect, the selection process is tough and there are always tons of applicants.

The application deadline was back in November. My portfolio was submitted on time along with my essay on how design will transform the world and how I will be part of that change. Design is the greatest power we have in this world and we all use it to some degree. Solutions always seem to arise when I apply the creative process to the issue at hand, not only when creating a piece of art or digital work but everything; cooking, travel, style, how your desk is arranged. The more I use design thinking

March Goals:

  • Add portfolio pages to the DaneDesigns Blog.
  • Streamline all my marketing/business efforts.
  • Organize, Organize, Organize.
  • Review & Edit your Blog (I think it has been close to 8-10 years since any attempt at writing at length so bare with me as I fix things up) - added Sunday; 3/7/10 (Getting the hang of blogger, remember I am a designer, not a writer. Trying to apply the way I criticize design to not only the depth of my words but does it sound correct and look correct?
I hope as more pages are added, How-to, Portfolio's, About, etc... the programs and tools I use everyday to sell my photography and digital design work online. Even though the blog is in the growing stages with a light amount of content it's only a matter of adding it. St. Paddy's Design coming in the next few days so check for that.

Thank you for checking out my blog and If you work with Adobe Illustrator make sure to check out my Illustrator Tutorials page for step by step instructions on how to make the most of your creative experience.
